History Lesson on NBC

At the Olympics, the announcers were commenting on the intensity of the Finnland-Russia game, and one of the announcers asked, seriously, if there was any history between the countries. Neither announcer knew. Later, they got a history update from some staffer and were reading it on camera. They started with Russia taking Finnland from Sweeden in the early 19th century, then Finland gaining its freedom at the end of World War I. Then the line that really struck me (from memory, apologies if I botch the exact wording)

"Apparently, there was a war in 1939 . . ."

Apparently.

The dark red spot in small enough to turn round again, about an inch in diameter. The pus is venting and it is losing a lot of mass. I should make bowling next week, and restart running the morning after, and swimming the day after.
